We are very excited to announce our first Astro photography workshop in the Cederberg.
Welcome to our blog post. After some scouting for a venue in the Cederberg to host our Astro Photography Workshop, we found "Mount Ceder"; a beautiful four star lodge on the Grootriver. The owners welcomed us with open arms and were kind enough to sponsor the venue for the workshop. A link to their website will be here below.

Date - 12th - 14th July 2019

Friday evening - Braai

Day plan
Friday afternoon - We will be arriving in the afternoon to unpack and settle down in our accommodation and we will get together at 6:00pm to meet and greet and getting ready for the braai. We will also discuss the plan for the next day and will give you an overview of Mount Ceder.
Saturday morning - A 3:00am start to do some milky way photography until sunrise at Truitjieskraal. After some koffie & rusks we will head back to Mount Ceder for the best breakfast in the Cederberg.
Saturday afternoon - Meet at 1:00pm till about 3:00pm for the workshop
Saturday evening - Meet at 6:00pm for supper and after that we will do some star trails at Mount Ceder
Sunday morning - A 3:00am start back to Truitjieskraal for milky way and star trail photography. After some warm koffie & rusks we will head back to Mount Ceder for that famous breakfast. After breakfast you can leisure around and go and look at the rock paintings.....and take a slow drive back to Cape Town
A WORD ABOUT THE WEATHER
It will be mid winter and it can get very cold during the day and at night.....so be prepared with warm jackets, gloves, shoes and beanie. The weather can change from nice warm clear day to cold and wet when the cold front rolls in. If the weather is not ideal for astro photography .....we will then make alternative plans to keep you taking some pictures even if is some landscape photography.
